Interesting, that so many theories and explanation for almost everything. Not only that theory being written in the book, but also read, commented, critized. In not only an,, Yahoo Answer, but in a lot of knowledge exchange concept. Incredible, I just could not imagine, how far are we (Indonesian) able to fill that gap in term of knowledge based society. “…Relax, guys; there is always more to learn…”

1. Guns, germs, and steel, JM Diamond, 1997 (cited 7019, Amazon 1837) Historian, Geography Professor
Four factor historical developments:
1. Availability of potential crops and domestic animals
2. The orientation of continental axis to facilitate the spread of agriculture
3. Transfer of knowledge between continents
4. Population size

2. Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty, Acemoglu & Robinson, 2012 (cited 1610, Amazon 516) Economist & Political Scientist
Perspectives of institutional economics, development economics and economic history

3. The wealth and poverty of nations, Landes, 1998 (cited 1756, Amazon 206)
Three major reasons wealth/poverty: Geography, Infrastructure, Culture

The Better Angels of Our Nature, Steven Pinker 2012 (Amazon 376)
Why the West Rules – For Now, Ian Morris 2011 (Amazon 143)
Rise and Fall of the Great Powers, Kennedy 1989 (Amazon 113)
