Pollution and Energy Development

leave a comment »

An opinion might said that environmental pollution is inevitable in developing countries, which the basis of this argument would be refer to Kuznets Curve. And using the same Kuznets curve, A study by Poon et al (2013) on the impact of energy, transport and trade on air pollution use this Kuznets Curve which suggest that soot particulates such as black carbon may pose a more serious environmental problem in China than sulfur dioxide

On the country level, Ocak et al (2003) perform study on Energy utilization, environmental pollution and renewable energy sources in Turkey, and other Energy and sustainable development and Rovere and Simoes (2008) perform study on Brazillian. Other example in renewable policies in taiwan, (note: interesting facts, taiwan 97% energy needs is by imported fuel)
