In developed country, the use of renewable energy or sustainable energy simply for reduce energy demand and increase energy supply efficiency. However, in developing country, the use of RE is more than that. In developing countries, the energy development mean reduction of health risk, energy poverty, even for economy and education. However in another side, any development need to face with the inherent challenge of fuel subsidy, technology adaptation and the instability of politics.

Developing Countries Point of View
A. Renewable Energy Perspective
1. Reduction of health risks
2. Reduction of energy poverty (Increased energy use)

B. Sustainable Energy Perspective
1. Fuel Subsidy
2. Energy Efficiency
3. Availability of Resources

Developed Countries Point of View
A. Renewable Energy Perspective for Sustainable Development
1. Saving Energy Demand
2. Efficiency Energy Supply
3. Flexible Technology

Energy for Sustainable Development Perspective
– Energy consumption will increase by over half (53%);
– The energy mix will remain fairly stable and dominated by fossil fuels (80% share);
– Energy-related CO2 emissions will increase by over half (55%); and
– Large populations of the world’s poor will continue to lack access to electricity (about 1.5 billion) and modern cooking and heating services (about 2.5 billion).

Renewable Energy Perspective
1. Protection of natural resources
2. Reduction of health risks
3. Increased access to modern energy
4. Reduction of dependence on energy imports
5. Promotion of economic development
