  • 1900, 70% coal
  • 1960, 70% oil and gas
  • 2015, 63% oil and gas, 18% coal, 10% renewable energy
  • 2030, 20% renewable energy (EU 2014 Climate Energy Policy), Indonesia 23% 2025

Energy Transition in Indonesia:

  • 1970, 87% Oil, 8% Gas, 1% Coal
  • 1990, 60% Oil, 20% Gas, 11% Coal
  • 2010, 49% Oil, 20% Gas, 24% Coal, 5% Renewable
  • 2025, 25 Oil, 21% Gas, 30% Coal, 23% Renewable (NEP 2014)

Transition is not caused by single event/driver. Many shifts and changes occured, 1960 Coal is the leader, 1970 Gas is the leader, 1980 Coal re-introduce, Oil gone.
