Is it about environment science, in this case is emission analysis. Emission analysis can be in area of energy system where it using EI. The emphasis should be on characteristics of energy system (which high use of biomass). Emission analysis can be emphasis in the possible option that can be used.

Ch 1 General (Key Concept)

  • Emission Analysis, A method to capture, measure and manage emission. Problem: Analysis not fully understood
  • Environment Impact, Emission, Health, Crop. Problem: Environmental impact of energy development is not understood. Problem in energy development Impact of energy scenario such as clean energy (gas) and renewable energy (biofuel) is not captured.

Ch 2 (emission) Analysis of energy system in Indonesia using EI

  • Background? Energy system in Indonesia is indicated by the use of tradional biomass. This traditional biomass usage is often not captured in the EI. The portrait of energy system in terms of emission status is not understood.
  • Gap? latest study is not including rice paddy, wastewater handling and traditional brick kilns production
  • Methodology? EI, calculating total emission

Ch 3 (emission) Analysis of energy scenario in Indonesia using LEAP

  • Background? Energy scenario, option apa yang indonesia punya e.g gas vs renewable
  • Gap? latest study is not including the impact on human in terms of death and human health and the crop loss
  • Methodology? LEAP, comparing each scenario

Ch 4 (social) Analysis of energy transition in Indonesia using MLP

  • Background? transition into clean and renewable energy is priority for many developing countries.
  • Gap? latest study is not capturing the renewable energy transition in Indonesia
  • Methodology? MLP, collecting
  • Question:- How do regime actors view Indonesia’s future energy mix? What is the enablers and obstacle of energy transition in Indonesia? How energy and environment related? What is likeliness of scenario from actor’s point of view
  • Result? layering MLP in Indonesia + preference to clean energy

Ch 5 Analysis of energy in Indonesia using integrated (repetitive) approach (A compilation of 2,3,4)

  • Background
  • Gap? cara mengintegrate yang paling efektif
  • Methodology? repetitive
  • Question: How is long term energy planning towards optimal energy mix and reduced emissions. How is an energy system and certain environmental emissions targets in Indonesia characterized and related? How is energy scenario for the future energy system to be investigated and measured for certain implication? What is the best framework to evaluate energy scenario in regards with their environmental impacts?
  • Results? What is the most likely implemented (repeat interview + LEAP)

Main Question: How is long term energy planning towards optimal energy mix and reduced emissions
Energy Transition: How do regime actors view Indonesia’s future energy mix? What is the enablers and obstacle of energy transition in Indonesia? How energy and environment related?
Impact Analysis: What is the impact of energy development and air pollution for human health and environment?
Scenario Analysis: What is the optimal energy scenario for Indonesia?
